Doing Good Work with Good People
At Malmquist, the way we work matters as much as the homes and spaces we build. We believe good construction starts with trust, steady communication, and people who take pride in doing things the right way.
Our team is made up of skilled, dependable people who care about the work, the details, and one another. We work hard, we trust each other, and we make room for life outside the job.
A Culture Built
Around People,
Trust, & Balance
The way we work together shapes the work we do. At Malmquist, trust, balance, and strong relationships help create a team culture where people feel supported, respected, and proud of the homes and projects we build.
-
At Malmquist, we care deeply about our team members and their families. We believe people do their best work when they feel respected, trusted, and able to keep a healthy balance between work and home life.
We are serious about quality, but we also believe work should be enjoyable. The relationships we build as a team are part of what makes Malmquist strong.
-
We hire people we believe in, then give them the trust and room to do their work well.
Our team members are expected to take ownership, communicate clearly, and bring their best judgment to the job. In return, they are supported by experienced leadership, dependable teammates, and a culture that values responsibility over micromanagement. When people are trusted, they take pride in the outcome. That is how we like to work.
-
We make time to be together outside the job site, too. A few times each year, our team steps away from the day-to-day work to enjoy time together and strengthen the relationships that carry into the work we do.
Our team outings have included boating days, ski days, mini golf, bowling, shooting range outings, and Christmas parties. They are simple reminders that we are not just coworkers — we are people who enjoy working together.
I’ve been with Malmquist for 10 years, and during that time my life has changed in wonderful ways, including becoming a mom to two children.
Through every season, I’ve always felt supported by a team that truly cares about its people. Malmquist understands that life happens beyond the jobsite and office and works hard to create a culture where employees can succeed at work while being present for the moments that matter most at home.

Giving Back to Our Community
We consider it a privilege and honor to be able to work and live in such an amazing community. As a token of our appreciation for the communities we love, we sponsor many organizations across the valley.
Additionally, every year during our local community fundraiser, The Great Fish Challenge, we donate $1000 on behalf of each employee to an organization they’re passionate about.
