Lakeside Retreat

BACKGROUND

The family was drawn to a unique property on the north end of Whitefish Lake, seeking more usable lake frontage and a different experience from their existing home near City Beach. After discovering Whitefish years earlier, the area had become an important part of their seasonal lifestyle: summers in Montana, spring and fall in Seattle, and winters in California.

Designed as a gathering place for family and friends, the home embraces lakeside living and effortless entertaining. Expansive outdoor spaces make the most of the waterfront setting, including a generous lakeside patio complete with a pizza oven and smoker. Inside, custom features such as a lighted onyx bar and matching powder room create memorable focal points and add a distinctive sense of luxury.

The result is a warm, refined lakefront retreat that balances elevated finishes with relaxed entertaining—an inviting place to gather, host, and make lasting memories on Whitefish Lake.

PROJECT NOTES

The project was built with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and client experience. Through careful planning, clear communication, and disciplined execution, the home was completed on schedule and under budget. The successful outcome reflects the strong partnership between the owners and project team, along with the trust placed in Malmquist’s reputation and longstanding presence in the Whitefish community.
